FIBank Awarded for Being a Socially Responsible Company

First Investment Bank was awarded in the “Socially Responsible Company of the Year” competition at the ceremony held yesterday at the Sheraton hotel in Sofia organized by “Pari” daily. The bank won a prize in the “Social responsibility for the Employees” category which was handed by the Deputy Minster of Labor and Social Policy Lazar Lazarov.

FIBank was chosen by a jury of nine members chaired by the publisher of “Pari” Daily Valentin Panayotov amongst more than 200 companies which participated in the competition. The Bank was the only financial institution which was awarded for being a socially responsible company.

„All of us, the big family of FIBank are extremely proud of this award” commented Mrs. Maya Georgiva, Executive Director of the Bank, who is responsible for the projects connected with the social responsibility of the company.

At the moment FIBank is finishing its work on the “Libraries for Bulgarian Schools” programme which is realized with the cooperation of “Civil Initiatives Workshop” Foundation in eight Bulgarian cities and it is going to give the annual scholarships to the former pupils from the homes for children deprived of parents’ care who are studying banking.
